I've created this Blog to try to find out a solution for Radeon crashing with other friends around the world!
I'm from Brazil, then forgot my bad English and let's try to find out a solution.
Many people buy the graphics card Radeon HD4850/ 4870/ and other models thinking that will the best buy..
Well, Radeon HD versions appears better in some tests than NVidia, but a disgusting crash are giving us a big headache!
The problem is: When you REALLY NEED of your video card, a black screen comes up and your computer stay frozen, then you need to reboot pushing power button.
And you, are a Radeon customer?
Let's make a try!!!
You will need one software, that will stress your VGA.
If your VGA card stay stable for 5~10 minutes range, your VGA is fine!
GPU Caps Viewer
http://gpu-caps-viewer.softonic.com.br/
Run the application and click under FUR RENDERING
One time clicked, a rendering will come up on screen, leave that running on 5~~10 minutes range.
It's suficient time to crash (if you're included on this problem)
My config:
AMD Phenom 2 X4 920
2x 2GB Kingston 800MHZ
3x 120GB HDD
1x 750GB HDD
2x Optical Drive
Sollytech 600W PSU
What I've already done:
Memtest -> Memory testing done, and that's OK!
Motherboard BIOS Update -> I've made that yesterday, everything is OK.
RMA Card -> My Radeon HD4850 was sent last week to RMA Warranty...the new card are with the SAME problem.
That's my card.
XFX Radeon HD4850
Serial NO: K1H169378
Internal Model: HD-485X-YDFC
I am attaching here a Youtube video that show the problem in real time
I am trying support with XFX Support Center, ATI Forums...but I cannot find a solution yet.
Maybe you have the same problem or maybe you have the solution!
Come on, you're welcome to participate with me!
